Hi There!
My name is Karem (pronounced kuh-rem). I'm a recent graduate from the University of California, Davis with a Bachelor of Sciences in Managerial Economics and a minor in Sociology. From a young age, I knew the traditional route after college didn't suit me. My mother owned a tailor shop, and I loved the flexibility in time she could provide for our family.
When I started college in 2020, I enrolled in the International Beauty Academy in Modesto, where I completed 40 hours of nail training. With my newfound knowledge, I began practicing on my friends. However, by my third year of college, the load of school and running a business took a toll on me, so I shifted gears towards press-on nails. I began creating custom press-ons due to the flexibility they offered in terms of creation time.
However, since my clientele were college students, nails were seen more as a luxury than a necessity. Taking this into consideration, I decided to delve into wholesale press-ons to make what was once a luxury service more affordable.
Now I'd like to take my knowledge that I've gained these past four years and share them to others who are beginning their entrepreneurship journey. Majority of my learning has come from CourseEra, Youtube, and my entrepeneurship classes in Davis.
